Let's face it, it can be hard to talk with family members or friends when we have problems.  You don't want to sound like you're just complaining, you may be afraid of burdening people or may not want to share some problems with people in your life.  Our friends and families will often offer well meaning advice to help us fix the problem.  You are already judging yourself and you may not want to risk being judged by other people, even those people who care about you.  What we really want is to be heard, to be listened to.  We want to get through our problems and find a solution uniquely helpful for us.  

We know people are experts in their problems and pain.  You know what's important in your life and what changes you want to happen.  Sometimes it is hard to see the path towards those goals and our own under utilized strengths.  Together, we will identify underlying issues of chronic problems and difficulties in your e. We work with you to increase and strengthen your skills and establish coping reserves that will serve you long after our work together has ended.
